Participants who entered the final round can attend the conference for free.
Further, prizes will be awarded to the final three candidates.

1 - Prepare project abstract and submit it to us before the 1st of March at 2pm
2 - The project should be relevant for our conference topic “Belt and Road Initiative” and “UK-China Collaboration”
3 - Our executive team will review the project and give you feedback
4 - If you pass the abstract competition, we will inform you about the project presentation details
5 - If you pass the preliminary, you will be asked to print your poster on a sheet of A2 paper

If your business idea is relevant in regards to this year's conference topic, and you are looking for funding and advice from company owners and investors, we strongly encourage you to join the boot camp!
Here, you have a good chance of finding your business partners! The winner of this boot camp will receive a £100 cash bonus.

You will receive a notification within two weeks on your application status. If you are successfully selected to participate in the boot camp, we will provide further details regarding the conference, including conference passes (maximum 4 passes for each participating team).
HTVB is currently calling projects from Advanced Equipment Manufacturing, Bio-tech and Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Modern Service Industry, Environmental Technology, Blockchain and cryptocurrency, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cultural Industry, Software Systems and Internet Technology/Internet of Things, Modern Agriculture from universities and institutions in the UK.
HVTB is the flagship event of MCBS Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE) programme, starting in the year of 2018. This programme targets students interested in how innovations in science or technology become a reality, and helps them to define levels of maturity and next maturity goal, as well as roadmaps to attain each of these goals with clear business value.
Having worked with organisations and societies in the relevant field, such as China-Britain Technology and Trade Association (CBTTA), Overseas Talent Entrepreneurship Conference (OTEC), Manchester Entrepreneurs, Blockchainers, and HiTech Innovation Forum among others, MCBS have established its credibility and popularity in the UK-China innovation and entrepreneurship circle.
Many members of MCBS are truly passionate about Technology and Innovation Entrepreneurship and have actively participated in various start-up competitions and project & talents exchange conferences in China and the UK, some of whom are even running their well-established projects.
The establishment of TIE programme marks the beginning of programme-based society management structure, which will sustain the current projects and help to build long-term cooperative relationship with partners in the same field.
As China launched the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in 2013 and enters the 45th Anniversary of China-UK Ambassadorial Diplomatic Relations, countless social, economical and academic opportunities are presented to Chinese and British stakeholders. Young and ambitious students in Manchester understand that they can be the critical drive for the betterment of this bilateral cooperation.
This conference aims to provide a place for young scholars and entrepreneurs interested in the future of the Chinese market as well as the Sino-UK relations to present their research findings and explore our resources. The Manchester Chinese Business Society (MCBS) aims to project the voices of these young leaders of tomorrow and engage students from all academic backgrounds in the discussions and development of the Sino-UK relationship.
